At The Center for MARCUS, the enrolled students are provided with a personal tutor to assist them with their educational needs and goals. They are also provided a personal mentor whose job is to work with the student at mastering and refining the gift or skill they identified and showcased during the interview process. Throughout the year, the students are exposed to different cultures and participate in trips and outings that we sponsor. They will also be afforded the opportunity to volunteer at the fundraisers and other events The Center for MARCUS hosts regularly.
In addition, the students are expected to attend the conferences and trainings we hold at the center, in which we have guest speakers who provide valid and relevant information as well as share their own personal experiences. There are at least two events yearly in which the students showcase their talents in a performance. These events are a fundraiser as The Center for Marcus is a not– for– profit organization, and we honor our donors at these events as well. We strive to ensure our students know we are proud of them, we support them and we believe in them.
Students who successfully complete the programming at The Center for MARCUS are guaranteed letters of recommendation, their post secondary application fees are waived, they acquire volunteer hours and they have access to an unlimited amount of resources. If you or someone you know might benefit from this program please visit us on the web and review the application/interview process or contact our Admissions office for more information.

Creative Expression Takes Time
The Arts Program
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful
beyond measure.
It is our Light not our Darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you NOT to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world

The Center for MARCUS Mentors are driven, accomplished, compassionate, resourceful individuals with the influence and desire to make a difference in students lives. CFM does not actively recruit mentors; rather mentors are considered through self-referral, or referral by a colleague or community representative. Those interested in mentoring with CFM should complete and return the application, and be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
