On March 9, 2015 Ebony E. White a native of Trenton, NJ, and a graduate of the Trenton Public School District, opened her own therapeutic practice in the heart of Trenton, NJ.

Ebony completed her undergraduate education, at Michigan State University where she majored in Psychology, and her graduate education at Walden University, majoring in Mental Health Counseling. She is currently a post graduate student at Montclair State University with a concentration in Counselor Education.

Ebony has over twelve years experience in mental health counseling, and has held several supervisory roles. She has continued to serve Mercer, Middlesex, and Union County while completing her post graduate education. Additionally, volunteering her time to work with local non-profit organizations, and developing the Center for Mastering and Refining Children’s Unique Skills (M.A.R.C.U.S.)

In 1995, Ebony lost her cousin, Marcus, to epilepsy.  He was studying Education at Trenton State College (The College of New Jersey), and was entering his final year.  Inspired by her cousin and wanting to honor his memory, Ebony began a non-profit organization geared to providing tutoring, mentoring, and mental health counseling to children and adolescents in his name, The Center for MARCUS (Mastering And Refining Children’s Unique Skills).  A large component of this program is providing mental health services in the African American community, where mental illness still holds a stigma, and many individuals and families are not provided assistance in this area.

Dr. Ebony White is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and an Approved Clinical Supervisor.

In addition to providing counseling services, Dr. White travels for public speaking and training events. In 2007, she was named Woman of the Year by the Mercer County Commission of Women.  She has been in Who’s Who several times and is excited to contribute to the repair of her hometown and uplifting of her community.

Ebony has experience working with incarcerated men and women, homeless individuals, adults with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), MICA (Mental Illness Chemical Abuse) clients, adjudicated youth, youth with behavioral and emotional issues, and children struggling in academic settings.  She enjoys working with individuals and families, as well as facilitating groups focusing on anger management, self-esteem, and grief and loss.
